MR03: ATM upper arm mount (w/ video)

As most of the MR03 owners know, the upper arm has a little bit of play even after shimming it. Don't get me wrong, sometimes you want that little play so that the car doesn't feel too sensitive on the track. Right now, the MR03 and my Futaba 3PKs transmitter had changed my driving drastically. I feel to be as one with the car. As if I'm inside the car driving it and every little adjustment on the car is very noticeable when the car is on the track. I'm very happy with this MR03, my 3PK radio, new found race body  and these new parts from PN and Atomic...

MR03: ATM lower arm

I didn't know the name of this product is, "reinforced fast set-up lower arm"? hehe... Anyway, I just got this part this afternoon. The only reason why I bought this is because kyosho's lower arm is not perfectly straight. It has a bump right in the middle. RCP/Tire dust can get in the servo gears from here and also, your suspension arm is not as straight as how you'd want it to be. On my current MR03, I have mine glued to the chassis (tiny drop of glue. not permanently attached ok?) This is to keep both lower arm, flat, level and even as possible.

ALL About FETS

One of the most asked questions that I recieve almost on a daily basis is what are FETS? and Why do we need them?

The most interesting piece of information is 4562, SP8M4 and 8858CZ are the best FETS available.
One of that is equivalent to at least a stack of 6 stock 3004 or stack of 4 3010 found in the latest upgraded mini-z chassis.

Here is a run down of FETS provided by http://www.mini-z-guide.com

PN's Tire Gluer Kit Review (2.25.2010)

What’s up folks! I know it has been a while but I’ve been very busy at work. Anyhow, I’m finally able to put my car back on the track. Few things I tested was Reflex Racing’s New Front end, 96mm FRP plates and PN tire gluer. Today we will focus on PN’s Tire gluer and then maybe later, I’ll give my review about RR new products.

Newbie Tips, Part 3

Its been a while, but here's part three of an on-going Newbie series, brought to you by Dirty Dee!

Like most, I've switched over to the MR03 from the venerable MR02 (only reason I did so was because my fets disintegrated!).  Everything was running very smoothly, until one day, I changed my tires, and noticed that my car was very twitchy and would lose traction through turns.  On top of all this, it would not hold a straight line, and would barrel roll into the sweeper from the straight even if I didn't jerk the wheel and hit the line perfectly.  There were a few things I considered (as well as spoken to many of our racers about).

MR03 steering not centering

And they said it's normal...

Yesterday, after playing with both of my MR03 cars (mod and stock), the stock car felt a bit sluggish infield and had a real sensitive steering on the straight-away. Honestly, it felt weird driving the stock car compare to the mod (speedy07) car. I'm not talking about the speed but more concerned of the steering. It was just weird, sluggish and twitchy!
